Description and benefits
Nina Ottosson's philosophy is that dogs and cats need as much mental stimulation as physical to be well-exerted and balanced. Toys from this same brand help reduce some undesirable behaviors, reduce the speed at which the animal eats, reduce boredom and allow the dog to develop its autonomy and self-confidence.
The games are developed with different levels of difficulty, it is important to choose a level that suits your dog to avoid frustration from not being able to understand how it works or to avoid taking a toy that is too easy that your dog will finish in a short time. We recommend levels 1 for puppies, but for adult dogs it depends on their experience with this type of toy.
These toys can replace food bowls for dogs and cats or be used as intellectual games. In all cases, they stimulate your pet's natural instinct to search for food. We recommend removing the toy once finished, to prevent the animal from chewing certain parts.
Nina Ottosson's Dog Brick is a great introductory intellectual toy for dogs. It teaches your dog to lift plastic bones, open drawers, and push compartments. To start, skip the plastic bones and simply place food under and inside the drawers. Once your dog understands these two dynamics, add the plastic bones to block access to the drawers. He will then have to remove them to continue with the toy.
